Order to pay to the poor brethren sisters of the Hospital of St. Giles, Wilton, six marks of yearly rent the town of Wilton as they were wont to have it in times past, inquiry be made concerning any right that the king may have in this or until otherwise ordered, as it is found by an inquisition taken by de Gloucestriia], escheator this side Trent, that the brethren and received this rent of the gift of the king's progenitors, formerly kings England, for the maintenance of a chaplain celebrating divine service in hospital daily for the souls of the king's ancestors, and that the brethren sisters of the hospital have received it from the first gift made to of certain rents and issues of that town by the hands of the bailiffs both when the town was in the hands of the king's progenitors when it was in the hands of Sir Richard, late king of Almain, and of late earl of Cornwall, without any interruption until Christmas at which time the town came to the king's hands by the death of the Edmund.
