the treasurer and barons of the exchequer. Order to cause the of Sheppe to be acquitted of 20/. by which he and the convent fine with the king for a grant of licence to Isabel, late the wife Roger de Clifford, the younger, to assign to them the advowson church of Warthecopp, notwithstanding the statute of mortmain, it appears to the king that she did not give or assign the advowson to in her lifetime, wherefore he wills that the abbot and convent shall be charged with this sum.
