To the sheriff of York. Alice, late the wife of Walter Heyrun, has the king that whereas Walter, by the assent and will of William his father, deceased, tenant in chief, assigned to her in dower at church door of Alverstane when he espoused her a third of all the lands belonged to his father, which are in the king's hands by reason of . death and of the minority of his heir, and she has besought the to cause the said third to be delivered to her.
