Malcolm de Harleye, escheator this side Trent. Order not to interfurther with the manors of Farnham and La Sere, which he took king's hands by reason of the death of John de Verdun, son of de Verdun, as the king learns by an inquisition taken by the that Theobald enfeoffed John of.the said manors, to hold to the heirs of his body of the king, with reversion in default of Theobald, and that John died without an heir of his body, and it to the king by inspection of the charter made to John that enfeoffed him of the manors in form aforesaid, which manors caused to be taken into his hands after the feoffment because had entered them without his licence, which manors the king aftercaused to be delivered to John by the escheator, on condition that hold them of the king in chief and should answer to him for in entering them without his licence.
