To the treasurer and barons of the exchequer. Notification that the king has pardoned the abbot and convent of Westminster the 5001. at which the abbot was amerced before John de Berewyk and his fellows, justices last in eyre in co. Middlesex, for five escapes, to wit 1001. for the escape of John de Kbor[aco], 1002. for the escape of John Ballard, 1001. for the escape of Roger de Parva Frome, 1001. for the escape of Robert le Clerk, and 100/. for the escape of Eustace de Royston, convicted clerks, who escaped from the abboi s custody, and order to cause the abbot to be acquitted of the said 500/.
