To the sheriff of Hereford. Order not to aggrieve John de Aqua Blanca, dean of the cathedral church of Hereford, Poncius de Salinis, John de Pounce and Peter de Langone, canons of that church, in any way because they are aliens, but to permit them to dwell in peace, receiving from them sufficient mainprize that damage or peril shall not arise to the king or his realm by them or any of them or by their procuration, as it is testified before the king by Wilham de Grandissono thatthe said dean and canons are not born of the power or lordship of the king of France, but of the land of Savoy, which is in no wise subjected to the power of the king of France.
