To the sheriff of Suffolk. Order to restore to Adam le Palmere, clerk, his lands, goods and chattels, which were taken into the kmg s hands upon his being charged before Elias de Hauvill and his fellows, justices lately appointed to deliver Ipswich gaol, with a robbery (roberia), as he has purged his innocence before R. bishop of Norwich, to whom he was delivered by the justices in accordance with the privilege of the clergy, and the king learns by an inquisition that he caused to be taken by the sheriff and coroners of that county that he is of good fame and conversation, and was never a public or notorious evil-doer.
