the treasurer and barons of the exchequer. Order to acquit William of 61. 6s. 4d. at which the goods of Simon de Kaneford, vicar church of Ifeud, were appraised, which goods were taken into hands upon his being charged before the justices last in co. Sussex with the death of Master Geoffrey de Gates, archdeacon of Chichester, and which the king ordered William, of that county, to restore to Simon because he had purged his before Master Gilbert de Sancto Leofardo, elect of Chichester, he was delivered by the justices in accordance with the privilege clergy.
