To the bailiffs of Sandwich. William de Saltu and Andrew Beraldi, merchants of Bayonne, have shown to the king that whereas Reymund de Sancto Johanne, merchant of Navarre, is indebted to them in 311l, . 299 which he ought to have paid to them at a term now past, for merchandise received from them, the said Reymund has not kept the term of payment, and that whereas he left part of the merchandise at Sandwich and took part to parts beyond the sea, have besought the king to cause to be restored to them the merleft at Sandwich because Raymund delayed satisfying them for price thereof according to the agreement, and that the king would goods and merchandise of Reymund found in the bailiwick of bailiffs to- be taken and delivered to them to the value of the goods sent by Reymund to parts beyond sea; the king therefore orders bailiffs to cause goods of Raymund to be arrested and delivered and Andrew, to do what they wish therewith, as besought by if it be as stated by them.
