the sheriff of Somerset. Order to deliver William son of Margaret imprisoned at Somerton for the death of Roger Norman, he is charged, in bail to twelve men who shall mainpern to him before the justices at the first assize to stand to right, ete., as it before the king by Ehas Cotele and his fellows, justices to Somerton gaol, that William slew Roger in self-defence and not by or of malice aforethought. de Alneto, imprisoned at Exeter for the death of Geoffrey le whereof he is appealed, has letters to the sheriff of Devon to bail Master H. de Bray, escheator this side Trent.
