the justices in eyre in co. Essex. Whereas the late king granted to and convent of Battle that all pleas touching them and their men whatsoever justices in eyre in the realm shall be pleaded and within the liberty of the abbot and convent in the counties the eyres shall be: the king orders the justices to plead and such pleas within the liberty of the abbot and convent in that at certain days to be provided by the justices, as has been wont to in other counties in which they haye previously been on eyre.
