Memorandum, that William de Hamelton acknowledges that he has received from John Sampson of York 40/1. for which John had made a recognisance to him in chancery. The prior of Pontefract acknowledges, for himself and his successors, that he owes to Peter de Cestria, provost of Beverley, 100 marks; to be levied, in default of payment, of his lands and chattels in co. York.
