the sheriff of Kent. Order to cause Alice de Wymeden, imprisoned for the death of Walter Galun, to be delivered from prison mainprise mentioned below, as the king learns from an inquisition by the sheritf of Surrey that Alice is charged with the said death out and hatred and not because she is guilty thereof, whereupon he the sheriff to certify him of the names of twelve men of that county should mainpern to have her before the justices at the first assize in parts to stand to right if anyone wished to speak against her the said death, and Richard de Chelesham, Henry le Mareschal, de Cov eham, Peter le Templer, William le Tanur, William le William de "Meledon, Thomas te Draper, Thcmas le 'Teler, Peter Stephen Knotte, and Thomas Rocy of co. Surrey mainperned before the sheriff of Surrey in the presence of the coroners Alice before the justices in form aforesaid, as the sheriff of Surrey to the king by his letters. Roger de Clifford, justice of the Forest this side Trent, or to him supplies his place.
