To the bailiffs of the city of York. Order to pay to William de Ros of Hamelak 75 marks out of the ferm of the city for Easter term last, in accordance with the king's grant of 22 August, in the 16th year of his reign, of that sum yearly at Michaelmas and Easter from the ferm of that city and of the like amount from the ferm of the city of Lincoln, until the king should provide him with 300 marks of land or rent yearly between the waters of Thames and Tees, or until the king should restore to him the castle of Werk, which William granted and released to the king.
