Order to cause allowance to be made to the aforesaid for 142. 14s. 23d. paid by him to Thomas de Bolton, knight, in of the king's order of 20 October, in the 18th year of his reign, to the arrears since the time of Simon's appointment of 20 marks, two robes, with fur lining (ped/ura) and the other with linen lining (dinwra), and suitable for a knight yearly, and to pay him the same henceforth, the king learned by inquisition taken by Thomas de Burgh, late . 427 beyond Trent, concerning the lands of Ralph, late baron of Graythat Ralph held in fee on the day of his death the manor of Hilderof John de (sic) Bygot, and certain other lands in Galmethorp of de Nevill, and that the manor and lands are charged to Thomas de knight, in the above rent, robes, and saddle yearly for the term of life, and it was found by another inquisition taken by the said escheator Thomas was seised of the above by virtue of a deed made to him Ralph and that he continued his seisin thereof until the time of Ralph's Simon having paid the above sum to Thomas, as appears by his of acquittance.
