To the treasurer and barons of the exchequer. Whereas the king, on May, in the 8th year of his reign, committed to Eleanor, late the wife of de Percy, tenant in chief, the custody of all the said Henry's lands co. York during the minority of Henry, his son and heir, rendering 400/. yearly to the exchequer, and afterwards, on 25 July, in the year of his reign, granted the above ferm in aid of the maintenance of earl of Chester, his son, to be received from Eleanor ; the king orders treasurer and barons to audit Eleanor's account for all the time that held the aforesuid lands, notwithstanding the above assigument to the of Chester and notwithstanding the separation of the payments, and to to her all payments made by her by virtue of orders previously sent her.
