To the treasurer and chamberlains. Order to cause payment to be made to Bartholomew de Bard and Peter Biny and their fellows, merchants of the society of the Bardi of Florence, staying within the realm, the sums which they have paid by divers orders under the privy seal the great seal, having viewed the said orders, or to cause them to have assignment in places within the realm where they may quickly be satisas they have paid the following sums to the following persons for divers of the king, to wit, to William de Dunstaple, 400/.; to John de Watenhull, 900/. at divers times ; to Master John de Besaunson, 662. 13s. 4d. ; to brother Geoffrey de Maldon, 40/.; to Richard Talebot, 26/. 13s. 4d; to Reymund Speawe ot Bayonne, 26/7. 13s. 4d. ; and to Edward, earl of Chester, the king's son, 250/.; and the merchants have the letters patent of the earl, William, John, John, Geoffrey, Richard and Reymund, testifying the receipt of the said sums, in their possession. To Richard de la Pole, the king's butler.
