William de Staundon. Whereas the king has appointed John de John de Percebrigg and Adam Lucas by letters patent to ail the castles, towns, manors, lands, goods and chattels that to Roger de Mortuo Mari, late earl of March, and to Simon de who were drawn and hanged for certain seditions and felonies, in Hereford, Worcester, Gloucester, Salop and Stafford, which he ordered taken into his hands by reason of their forfeiture, and also to survey castles, towns, manors, Jands, goods and chattels of John Mautrayers, younger, Thomas Gourneye, Bego de Baiocis, Jobn Deveroil, and de Okele in the aforesaid counties, who are charged with seditions felonies and have withdrawn themselves for that reason, not permitting to be justiced, wherefore the king ordered their castles, ete., to into his hands, and to cause all the goods and chattels aforesaid to by men of those counties, and to be present at the sale of of the goods and chattels, and to execute certain other things in the said letters, and the king understands that the said John was unable to labour about the premises by reason of bodily and that it is expedient that William, who bas better knowledge premises, shall intend to the premises with the aforesaid John de and Adam: the king therefore orders him to be intendent, aidand counselling to them in the premises as often as he shall be summoned The king has ordered the sheriffs of the aforesaid counties to to William 18d. a day for his wages whilst thus employed.
