Peter Guernery of Florence puts in his place Ascelin Simonet and Gile, to prosecute the execution of a recognisance for 200/. made him in chancery by brother John, abbot of Vaudey. Thomas de Evesreceived the attorney. Enrolment of acknowledgment of receipt by Thomas de Evesham, clerk, attorney of John de Stretford, archbishop of Canterbury, during absence, on 24 December, in the presence of the chancellor, from late the wife of Roger Beler, of 50/. in part payment of 1007. which acknowledged that she owed to the archbishop. Witnesses: Sir de Sancto Paulo, keeper of the chancery rolls, Sir Michael de Wath, Thomas de Bamburgh, Sir Thomas de Brayton, Sir Thomas de Sib- Sir Thomas de Cotyngham, Sir Walter, son of Walter Prest, of Moubray, of co. Leicester, and Sir Ralph Burgeys of the same. at London, on the day aforesaid.
