To Thomas de Bello Campo, earl of Warwick, Thomas de Asteleye and Thomas Hastang. Order to elect another person to set out with the king's wool, in the place of Geoffrey Lespenser of Upton, as the king lately ordered him to be at London on the morrow of St. Thomas next, to inform the council there upon certain arduous affairs, with other merchants of the realm, and further to do what should be enjoined upon him by the council on the king's behalf, and the king ordered the sheriff of Worcester to take him if he did not come, and now Geoffrey has besought the king to discharge him, as he is charged by Thomas and the others to set out with the wool collected in that county and in co. Warwick, to parts beyond the sea, and the king has considered that Geoffrey's information and advice will be useful and opportune, and that he cannot be present at London on the said day, and also set out to the said parts, and that it will be more advantageous to have his counsel and information.
