To the collectors of customs in the port of Boston. Order to deliver William de la Pole of Kyngeston-upon-Hull, merchant, or his attorney, by indenture, all the issues of the customs and subsidy in that port, until he is fully satisfied for the sums lent by him to the king, except the money which he lent of his wool sold in parts beyond the sea, and except assignments previously made on those customs, as the king has granted William the issues of the customs in the ports of Kyngeston and Boston until he shall be satisfied for 4,000/., which he lent to the king for his secret affairs, as appears by an account made before John archbishop of Canterbury, and Master William la Zousche, dean of St. Peter's, York, sometime the treasurer and others of the council, and for other sums which he lent at the king's request for the expenses of the household and to divers other persons.
