To the sheriff of Oxford. Order to supersede any distraint made on the prior and convent of Hurleye for finding a man at arms for the custody of the maritime land in co. Southampton, as they have besought the king to have consideration of their indigence, showing him that their temporalities do not exceed 20 marks yearly value, and the priory and its possessions are so slender that they have not wherewith to live without outside aid, and if they are charged with any unaccustomed charges, it would cause their dispersion.
