To the sheriff of York. Order to supersede until further order the taking of Henry de Belton, as the king ordered him to be before him and his council at London on the morrow of S&t.. Thomas the Apostle next, and although as several merchants and others of the realm refused to obey divers orders of the king, the king considered that such contempt should not go unpunished, and ordered the sheriff to take Henry, if he refused to come, and bring him to that city to have him before the council on Saturday after the said morrow, yet Henry is appointed to receive the king's wool in that county, so that he cannot come without the retarding of the receipt and sending of the wool.
