To the takers and purveyors of wool in co. Oxford. Order to supersede wool of the master and brethren of the hospital of St. John the east gate, Oxford, by reason of their lands, as the king has that the hospital was founded by Henry III for doing alms, is so slenderly endowed that the goods thereof hardly suffice for maintenance of the master and brethren and the poor and infirm and for other alms, so that if it is charged with the aids granted the community of the realm, it will behove the master and brethren diminish the said alms, and hag ordered the taxers and collectors the triennial tenth and fifteenth in that county not to molest them their portion.
