Order to deliver to Thomas Ughtred, 550/. for Michaelmas term last, if it is not yet paid, and 550/. for the Purification next, upon his wages and those of the men-at-arms, hobelers and archers in garrison at Perth, in Scotland, as on 4 August last he undertook before the council,-to guard that town until Easter next with a certain number of men-at-arms, hobelers, and archers, and that at Michaelmas last he should receive by assignment 5507. upon such wages, and so from quarter to quarter for the aforesaid time, as is contained in part of his indenture made between him and Edward, duke of Cornwall, and earl of Chester, keeper of England, under the keeper's seal, and the king ordered Robert de Scorburgh and Nicholas, then taxers and collectors of the said tenth and fifteenth there, to pay him 5502. for the said Michaelmas term, and the king wishes Thomas to be satisfied for this, and 5502. for the Purification for that quarter. The king has ordered the treasurer and chamberlains to cause a tally for 1,1007. to be levied in the name of Walter and Nicholas, and delivered to Thomas in their discharge. Iil Parr Iti. 549
