To the sheriffs of London. Order to pay to Henry Darcy, mayor of London, 50 marks without delay, of the king's gift, as he has besought the king to cause provision thereof to be made for him, as he ought to receive, like his predecessors, 50 marks yearly from alien merchants in aid of the expenses of his office, to wit, from Amiens, Neel and Corby, coming to the city with their merchandise, and before the war they withdrew with their merchandise, so that nothing of the 50/. can be levied. By B., the keeper, and C. 20.
