The like to the collectors and purveyors of wool in cos. Warwick and Derby by divers writs. By C. 12. To William de Clynton, earl of Huntingdon and his fellows, appointed 9 guard all the ports and the sea shore when ships ply, and all the maritime land in co. Kent. Order not to compel the abbot of Battle to find any men-at-arms, hobelers or archers for the custody of the maritime land there by reason of his manor of Wy in that county, because he has caused all his servants and others to be arrayed, and retains them with him on the sea coast near Wynchelse, co. Sussex, for the safety of those parts against invasion, by the king's order. By the keeper and C. 16.
