Order to pay 20 marks to Master John de Thorsby, the king's olerk, or his attorney, for Michaelmas term last, in accordance with the king's grant to him for his good service as notary in chancery and elsewhere, and in aid of his expenses, of 40 marks yearly from the issues of the hanaper, until he shall be provided with an ecclesiastical benefice exceeding that sum and the value of the benefices which he now holds. 20.
