To the mayor and sheriffs of London. Order to cause all merchants of Spain who come to the realm with their goods and merchandise, whom the king has taken into his protection, to be favourably treated and to defend them from injury, and to cause anything which has been forfeited, to be restored to them, while they behave faithfully with the king and have no intercourse with his enemies, as the king has confirmed these privileges to such merchants, which were granted by Edward I, by charter. By K. 25.
