John atte Brome and Robert atte Brome of Stevanache acknowledge that they owe to John de Leycestr[ia], clerk, 50/.; to be levied, in default of payment, of their lands and chattels in co. Hertford. Enrolment of grant by William son of Nicholas de Storteford to Sir Ralph Spigurnel, knight, of 10s. yearly rent in Hardliston, which William was wont to receive of the following tenants, to wit; John Tibetot, 18d. ; John de Goushill, 9d.; William le Palmere, 2d.; John le Coek of Little Shelford, 4d.; Thomas Wilcons, ld.; John Baldewyn, 2d.; Thomas Fowelere of Haukeston, 3 d.; Adam Grith of Hardlyston, 44d. ; William son of Thomas Tepelyn, 12d.; Robert Adam, ld.; Alice Clement, 3s.; William le Clerk, 3d.; John de la Haye, knight, 2s. ; with the homage of John and the others.
