Order to hays and houses erected in the chace of Whervedale, down, without delay, and the chace to be kept free, accordof the king's order, making known to all concerned that the chace to be so kept as was wont to be done in those who commit faults in that chace after such that they shall be an example to others, as the king being the men of those parts have entered that chace, which the free chace of Knaresburgh, which Queen Philippa holds king's grant, and they have hunted that free chace with if it was a common chace, and have taken beasts there them away, ordered the constable to cause the chace to be the king has learned that several men of those parts ditches, hays and houses in that part, and have perevils, both of vert and venison, and the king will not further.
