To the treasurer and barons of the exchequer. Order to give Thomas de Roos of Douseby, the elder, and William de Bayous, taxers and collectors of the tenth and fifteenth granted by the laity, in Kesteven, co. Lincoln, respite until a certain day after Monday after St. Margaret next, for their account, so that the payment of the money may not be further postponed, as the king ordered the collectors, under pain of forfeiture, to have all the said money for Midsummer :term last, at Westminster, on the said Monday, to be paid to Master William la Zouche, dean of St. Peter's, York, the treasurer, or to John Charnels, supplying his place, and the collectors have vesought the king to provide for their indemnity, as they have a day, to wit the quinzaine of Christmas, to account for the said money, and they cannot be at Westminster on the said day, if they have to account on that day and stay until the account is rendered. By C. 9. John de Thorp, clerk, is sent to 8. bishop of Ely, to receive a yearly pension from him for life, by reason of his translation, until he be provided by the bishop with ai suitable benefice.
