To the treasurer and barons of the exchequer and the chamberlains. to cause William de Bohun to be paid 200/. from the treasury the term of Easter last, or to give him an assignment in places where may quickly be satisfied therefor, as the king lately gave to him name and honour of earl of Northampton, and to maintain that granted to him 400/. to be received yearly for himself and the male of his body, by the hands of the collectors of customs in the of London, until certain lands, which others hold for life, and reversion the king has granted to him, shall come into his hands, the king has granted that if the earl or his heirs male shall be from receiving the said 400/., because wool and other merare not permitted to be sent or taken out of the realm, or for other reason, then the earl and his said heirs shall receive at the as much as is lacking to them upon the payment of the aforeferm, or shall have payment or a competent assignment elsewhere ; the sea passage is now closed, and wool, hides and other merfrom the customs of which the greater part of the ferm of said city arises, are not permitted to cross out of the realm by of the king's prohibition, wherefore the earl is prevented from the said 100/. for the term of Easter last.
