de Grymstede acknowledges that he owes to William de Staunford, and Wiiliam de Dommere, clerk, 110s. ; to be levied, in default of of his lands and chattels in co. Southampton. Achard, knight, acknowledges that he owes to William de Staunclerk, and William de Dummere, clerk, 11 marks 6s. 7d.; to be levied, of payment, of his lands and chattels in co. Berks, of deed of John son of Martin Schenche, witnessing that his father purchased from John son of Peter, citizen of London, of rent issuing from the manor of Dokstede, co. Surrey, of which Martin was seised by the hands of Clarice, Aline, Lucy (Luce), and who held the manor in succession in inheritance after the death Dokstede their father, so that Martin afterwards married Clarice afterwards purchased the purparty of Lucy, one of the parceners, from Savage and the said Lucy his wife, and the aforesaid Aline purchased Thomasina her purparty of the manor, by reason whereof Aline is to the said John son of Martin in 50s. yearly as tenant of a moiety manor, the said John son of Martin hereby releases that sum to for her life. He also grants that if Clarice, late the wife of Sir de Wellesworthe, his mother, survive the said Aline her sister, so Aline s moicty of the manor come to her, then Clarice shall be quit said 50s. yearly for life. Dated at London, on Saturday the feast of Valentine, 14 Edward II. French. that John came into chancery, on the said day, and acthe aforesaid deed.
