To the treasurer and barons of the exchequer, and to the chamberlains. Order to appoint such of the king's clerks as shall be necessary to survey, dispose of, and put into a proper state, before Michaelmas, the king's things in his treasury and in the Tower of London, and the rolls, books, and other memoranda touching the exchequer of the times of his progenitors, which, the king understands, are not so well disposed as is needed for him and the common weal.
