To the keeper of the city and castle of Karliol, and the mayor of city. Order during the war with the Scots in those parts to suffer man of whatsoever estate or condition to enter the inn of Thomas Roos of Kendale in that city or lodge there without his special or against his will or the will of the tenant or keeper thereof the time being, or to meddle therein; as the king has granted said Thomas that no captain or keeper of Karliol, no officer, minister, soldier or liege man of the king shall so do.
