Order to take the fealty of Joan late the wife of Warin de Insula knight, and to remove the king's hand and meddle no further with the manor of Shirburne, a messuage and one carucate of land in Shirbourne, delivering to her any issues thereof taken; as the king has learned by inquisition, taken by Edmund Gyffard late escheator, that at his death the said Warin held the premises as jointly enfeoffed with her by gift of Henry Beek clerk, the said manor of the king as of the honour of St. Walery by the service of one bow of auburne and three arrows without feathers or 12d. a year, and the said messuage and land of others than the king. To John Gaweyn escheator in Wiltesir. Like order concerning the manor of Chilton Foliot, likewise jointly held by knight service of the king as of the honour of Walyngford; as the king has commanded John Salvayn to take the said Joan's fealty.
