To John Shery farmer of the manor of Denas in Wales, which for particular causes is in the king's hand. Order to pay to David Hanemere the arrears of 40s. a year from the death of John de Cherleton lord of Powys on 13 July 48 Edward III to 18 July last when John his son had livery of the lands of his heritage ; as the said John the father granted the said David that annuity for life to be taken within his castle of la Pole by the hands of his receiver for the time being, and on 3 July last for a fine which the said David paid him the king confirmed that grant ; and now the said David has petitioned the king for payment of the arrears since the grantor's death, shewing that the annuity is in arrear since the grantor's lands were taken into the late king's hand by his death and by reason of his said son's nonage.
