Robert Bealknap and his fellows justices of assize in the county Order in their next session to continue in the state it was an assize of novel disseisin concerning tenements in Falle, Lemynton and Cristchurche Twynham arraigned Henry Percehay and Walter de Clopton late justices of assize Thomas atte Penne and Richard Hanger the younger against Russell, John Warner chaplain, Thomas West knight and his wife, and Henry Olde ; as the said Thomas (sic) with other is sailing with all possible speed to Brittany on the king's service, succour of Thomas earl of Bukyngham and other lieges there, he may not be present at those assizes. By K. and C. daughter and heir of Richard de Shakleston of Cristeshale Edmund of Strode, his heirs and assigns. Quitclaim with of all the lands, rights etc. in Cristeshale, Heyden, Great Little Chishulle, Wendenlowe, Elmeden, Arkesden or in Essex which may come to her by inheritance or in after the death of the said Adam and of Isabel his wife mother. Quitclaim of an inn or messuage in in the parish of St. Martin called Batteshyn, with one cellar shops and solars adjacent. Dated 30 September 4 Richard II. of acknowledgment at Oxford, 20 December, before abbot of Oseney by virtue of a writ of dedimus potestatem which the files for this year. de Compton of Mildecombe to Bernard Brocas knight, John Bukyngham, John de Campeden, John Rouceby, Thomas Cooke, Ketene clerks, Williami Walleworth, William Haldene, William Thomas Dru and Stephen Hayme, their heirs and assigns. with warranty of the manors of Broughton and North co. Oxford and the advowson of Broughton church. Dated Friday the Conversion of St. Paul 4 Richard IT. of acknowledgment in the chancery at Westminster, January, William Parkeer of Brunsted to Margaret Maresshall countess of Norffolk and Giles Wenlok clerk. Recognisance for 1001., to be levied etc. in Norffoik. Warin Luscien knight to William Clere of Ormesby, his heirs and assigns. Quitclaim with warranty of a manor of Little Burgh with appurtenances in Westfleg co. Norffolk called Vauseshalle, and of all lands in Burgh, the hundreds of Estfleg and Westfleg or in Norffolk. Witnesses: Sir John de Mauteby knight, John son of Alexander Fastolf, John son of Nicholas Fastolf, Robert de Rollesby, Thomas his son, Robert de Martham, George Sefoul, John de Berkynges, Robert atte Northous.
