To John Wadham and William Hankeforde justices of assize in Kent. Order, upon petition of John king of Castille and Leon duke of Lancastre, Robert Ellerker, Edmund de Wymundeswolde and Henry Brakkele, to proceed with what speed they may in an assize of novel disseisin by the petitioners arraigned before David Haunemere and Walter Clopton, late justices of assize, against William Wodeward chaplain, Wiliam Hichelyn, John Hapilton, Richard that was the parish prest of Wy, John Hachehard, John Leche, Gilbert Parker, Stephen Heyne and Nicholas Colton concerning a freehold in Ditton and Eylesforde, namely the manors of Ditton, Syfleton and Brampton, notwithstanding the allegation made on the king's behalf by William Rykhille his serjeant that the said manors were seized into his hand by Thomas Kempe escheator, and are yet in his hand, so that they proceed not to rendering of judgment without advising the king.
