To the king's lieutenant, justice, guardian, governor, chancellor treasurer of Ireland for the time being, and to their representatives. upon petition of William Grene chaplain whom the king presented to the vicarage of Terfeyghyn as void and in his gift, granting or suffering to be granted any confirmation of the of Stephen Staunton clerk now incumbent it is said, or of any incumbent, to disturb the king's right and the effect of his presentation, knowing that any confirmation so made is of no force ; the said William has shewn the king that he must needs incur great in suing for the king's right, but that he is like to be hindered the effect of his advancement by a confirmation under the great of Ireland to be obtained by the said incumbent. Et erat patens.
