To the mayor and bailiffs of Kyngeston upon Hull. Order, upon petition of Arnald de Baley master of a ship called la Seinte Marie of Baioun, to dearrest the same, and suffer him to take it over to Bordeaux or Baioun laded with wheat, the arrest thereof or any command of the king to them previously addressed to the contrary notwithstanding ; as his petition shews that he laded it in the port of Kyngeston with wheat to be taken to one of those cities for relief and sustenance of the lieges there dwelling, and that it is arrested by virtue of a writ whereby the king ordered the mayor and bailiffs to cause proclamation to be made that no man under pain of forfeiture and of losing the same should take out of port any ship, barge or balinger therein; and Thomas Thorp of York merchant and John Roncivaux burgess of Baioun have mainperned in chancery under a pain of double the value of the wheat that he shall take it to one of those cities and nowhere else.
