Memorandum of a mainprise under a pain of 200/., made in chancery May this year by Richard Hurst of Sussex, Robert Lyndesey, Thomas Alboun and John Bouet of London for Robert Passheley knight, . 311 he shall do or procure no hurt or harm to Henry de Thorp serjeant that Nicius Burnell a Lumbard by his assent and of the attorneys of the bishop of Durham had a day until the of St. John Baptist next ; and of a mainprise under a pain of made in chancery 1 May this year by Dinus Dargaigny, Angelus Bartholomew Bosane, John Pontadour, Albrandus Gasand Gilbert Aymerike merchants of Luka, Anthony Thomas Gauter Barde of Florence, to have the said Nicius in chancery the day named, ready to answer the bishop and John de Neville plaint pending against him concerning Francis Vyncheguerre ; bond in 300/. of the said mainpernors (the said Gilbert and Gauter to content the bishop and John de Neville of that or any sum, in case by the king's court the said defendant shall be adto pay it for the said Francis, and under a pain of 1,000/. to up the defendant s body to prison for the surplus, in case a sum be so adjudged, or else to content the plaintiffs of such the same to be levied of their goods in the city of London.
