Order to give Pontan, whose fealty the king has taken, livery of a messuage, acres of land and 4 perches of wood in Seyntussill in the march Wales, saving his relief if due to the king: as lately it was found inquisition, taken before John Lucy late escheator in Herefordshire the march of Wales adjacent, that David Vaghan at his death the premises of John son and heir of Lawrence de Hastynges of Pembroke, a minor in the late king's wardship, by knight and the service of 16s. a year of rent ; that the same came to late king's hands by David's death and by reason of his heir's that Nest was his cousin and next heir, namely daughter of his son, that she died on Wednesday before Midsummer Edward III, and that David Pontan is her cousin and next heir, son of Isabel daughter of David Vaghan, and on 1 September Richard II was aged 28 years and upwards ; and on 20 February Richard II the king committed the keeping of the premises by a to William Hervy, and after upon petition of David Pontan he would revoke that commission and give him livery of those the king ordered the sheriff to give the said William notice to in chancery at a day now past to shew cause wherefore the comought not to be revoked and livery so given, at which day said William appearing in person could say nought to the purpose, it was determined that the same should be revoked and given to the petitioner.
