Writ of supersedeas, by mainof William Yeland, Richard Cliderowe, William Elyngton of and John Felton of Northumberland, in favour of Walter at suit of Aymer de Athedeles knight for an account for the time was the plaintiff s bailiff and receiver in Felton, and by another for trespass. de Northwode knight, son and heir of Sir John Northwode to Thomas Chiche of Balverle, Gilbert Manfeld citizen of Nicholas Potyn, John Dreylonde, William Emery and William and to the heirs and assigns of William de Makenhade. with warranty, for 200 marks this day paid by William the receipt whereof is acknowledged, and for further of their estate, of the reversion of the manor of Horton and of all right in that manor, reciting that Sir Roger the elder, his grandfather, after the death of Elizabeth daughter of Sir John de Segrave knight lord his second wife, who died without issue, was seised of manor in fee simple, and willing to advance Agnes his last wife, quinzaine of Michaelmas 34 Edward III levied a fine thereof Robert de Thorp etc. justices of the Bench between the said the elder and Agnes plaintiffs and Richard Sheme vicar of and Peter Hadland deforciants, whereby Sir Roger the right of the said Richard, and for that acknowledgand concord the deforciants granted the manor to the plaintiffs heirs of the said Roger, that after his death, the said Agnes the reversion thereof descended to Roger the grandson, son and heir of the said John son and heir of Sir Roger the elder, his eighteenth year begat the said John by Juliana de Say wife, sister of Sir Geoffrey late lord of Say knight, that on 8 Richard II by deed enrolled in chancery Roger the gave the said reversion to the said Thomas Chiche and the and to the heirs and assigns of William de Makenhade, and to that his grant thereof should be publicly acknowledged, February following in his presence Christopher de Shukkeburgh, took the said Agnes to wife, attorned tenant to William de by delivery of one glove (serotece), although the said and Agnes previously attorned tenants to the said William enrolled in chancery, dated Horton 22 December 8 Richard II, that in their seisin being the said Roger the grandson February aforesaid made a release to the said Thomas and the by a deed enrolled in chancery. Dated 18 December 9 Richard II. of acknowledgment at Rouchestre on Tuesday before Chair before Arnald Savage, by virtue of a dedimus which is on the file for this year. de Lyttylbury knight to Robert de Hagham his brother, de Lalaunde, John Meres of Kyrketon the elder, Richard of Multon, Roger his son and William Whyte of Holbeche, heirs and assigns.
