To the mayor and bailiffs of the city of York. Order to cause forty (homines balistarios) to be chosen out of their city and to be with arms, to wit aketons and breastplates or plates (platis), and other arms, so that they be ready to set out thence at the wages on the morrow of St. Andrew next for Berwick for the thereof, and to pay them their wages for forty days, to wit 4d. a each, and to cause them to have carriage for their armour to Berwick, the king by the bearer hereof of their proceedings.
