To Thomas Tregoz, John de Stonore, John de Ifeld and John Daubernoun. Order to make perambulations in the king's forests in co. Surrey, according to the king's appointment of them by letters patent, with all II1. Parr I. 213 notwithstanding any inquisitions made in the time of Edward I., and the perambulations to be made by them into chancery before Christin accordance with the said appointmént, as it is now shewn to the by the community of the county that, although the said Thomas, John, and John have caused inquisitions to be made concerning the metes bounds of the fcrests in that county by virtue of the said appvintment, they have deferred making perambulations according to the and bounds in the said inquisitions by pretext of certain inquisitions metes and bounds made in the time of Edward I., wherefore the comhave prayed the king to apply a remedy. The king wills, however, the perambulations to be thus made shall not be put into execution before are returned into chancery and before the inquisitions thus taken in the of Edward I. have been examined, and until what shall seem fit have done by the king's counsel.
