To the sheriff of Norfolk. Order to pay to Robert de Warthecopp, the king's clerk, his wages of 5s. a day from 8 August last for every day he spent in the king's service as related below and as much as is fitting for his labours and expenses in aiding and working for the custody of the king's victuals as he shall make known to them, as the king appointed him to receive from Thomas de Melchebourn and certain other merchants at Bishops Lynn all the victuals for the maintenance of the lieges of the fleet about to go to the ports of Orewell and Great Yarmouth and to cause those victuals to be taken to the port of Orewell or Great Yarmouth, where the fleet should be gathered, to be distributed there among the owners, masters and mariners by the testimony and advice of Robert de Morle, admiral of the fleet from the mouth of the Thames towards the north.
