Whereas on 18 November 11th year of the reign the king sold and granted to Ralph de Nevill by patent under the exchequer seal, the marriage of William son and heir de Huntyngfeld, tenant in chief, a minor in the king's wardship, and custody of all Roger's lands, rendering at the exchequer at the king's 800 marks for the marriage and 2,200 marks for the custody, and on 4 May last, the king granted to him by the advice of council for a sum of money, the custody of all Roger's lands hold until the heir should come of age, together with marriage of the heir, and now Ralph has _ besought king to provide for his indemnity, as he may be aggrieved at future to render the 2200 marks by reason of the letters under the seal; the king therefore orders the treasurer and barons to these letters, if Ralph restores them.
